3 Things to Know Before Buying Fitted Wardrobes
We asked our clients what were the biggest unknowns before coming to our showroom. In this article, our experts try to clarify a few misconceptions, and give advice on how to choose the best wardrobe for you.
1. Is a fitted wardrobe right for me?
If you are not sure, think about your bedroom. For the time being, ignore your friends, relatives and all the wonderful pictures you might have seen on Pinterest or Instagram. Try to focus on your habits, your space, your preferences.
- Why do you need to change your wardrobe?
- Is it your main wardrobe for your bedroom, or a spare room?
- Do you need more storage, and for what?
- How could your existing wardrobe work better?
- For each section, do you want to keep long dresses, shoes or suits?
- What items to you use most regularly, what can be tucked away?
There are many more complex questions, but this will give you a head start. If you find yourself in need of more storage, more efficient fittings, better finishings, or if you need to match a particular style for your home, don’t hesitate. You need a custom-made fitted wardrobe.
2. How to choose the best fitted wardrobe?
Again, there is no secret recipe. It all boils down to your particular needs and preferences. Our wardrobe planner will help you visualise the many options that can be considered. Of course, price varies, especially if you choose branded fittings. But at the end of the end, there isn’t a better or nicer internal configuration - except for the one that matches your needs.
- Do you want doors or an open wardrobe concept?
- Do you prefer swing or sliding doors?
- Do you want full panels or glass doors?
- Do you want to consider wooden doors?
- Do you need particular fittings for your jewellery, belts, watches, sockets?
- Do you need mirror on your doors or inside the wardrobe?
To answer these questions, you need to look at your existing wardrobe, but also consider the prices of all these options. Our experts are happy to take you through these variations and help you figure our what matches best your budget.
3. How long does it take?
It takes only 1 hour to design a custom-made wardrobe with our proprietary Wardrobe Planner. You can visualise your wardrobe immediately in 3D, and even use the Augmented Reality feature to see it in your home.
After that, we will schedule a site visit for our carpenters to measure exactly your wall and adjust the drawings to fit your home. There is nothing much to worry about for you: we measure, we manufacture, we deliver with our in-house team of carpenters.
You can expect to receive your wardrobe within 1 month only. All the carpentry work is done in our workshop. It is delivered from our workshop in ready-made components, so your home won’t be flooded with saw dust. Installation is pretty much dust-free, takes a few hours only, and voila!
Remember: most of our clients choose a custom-made wardrobe for the following reasons:
- Maximising space and storage
